Sneaky extra Stretch N Bubbles

Sneaky little extra Stretch N Bubbles for you

I think I feel his pain and I haven't done anything much yet!!!

I thought he looked sort of olde worlde - so I found a gorgeous paper that had a delicate tree and flowers and matched it all to that

Nothing complicated in the layout - the dimension and shadows are all from the patterned background paper

Stretch N Bubbles

Stretch N Bubbles - SHOP
Stretch N Bubbles - BLOGSPOT

I love the way we can use any colour for Christmas these days.  This stocking image is perfect to play about and experiment with different colour combos

I went for a modern look - and experimented with the new colour shading technique.  There are 3 chipboard tags on a silver ribbon and the greeting is part of the patterned paper underneath

scraper's Delight

OK - you all know I am a sucker for dragons.
I am in love!!
Scrapper's Delights are mostly a digi scrapbooking site - but I have sneaked in with the plain digi images she does.  I love the Gothic look - but still clean and clear and sooooo colour-able!!
And I love the dragons.

This is not Copic work - shock - horror - actually it's Inktense.  Gives a lovely soft tonal look - I wanted him to look soft and cuddly
This little chappie is not even in the SHOP yet - but the Santas and friends are.
Working on a Santa - just you wait!!

Shelly's images - Christmas fairy - red and green

Shelly's Blog - HERE
Shelly's Images shop - HERE

Here is Shelly's Christmas Fairy

I was rummaging through my Christmas paper to find something to use with it and I came across this wonderful diecut 12" paper.  I have never used it because I could not bear to cut it up - but it seemed good for this.

Then I discovered this photo of my son and dog getting all over excited about the parcels - and that was it.

I coloured the fairy in colours to match and kept the layout really simple.  The WOW letter are huge red sparkly ones.

Have not shown my son - he is 17 now and DEFFINATLY would not approve!

Inktense hold-all

The Curtain shop in town has a big box outside it full of old curtain sample they are selling of for £1.  I guess that it is patterns that they don't do anymore.  'They are fully made up and lined with header tape - when you unpick them there is about a fat quarter of fabric and also lining - and it's the heavy upholstery type fabrics.

I am having a ball!!!!

I have made cushion covers - and I am currently making a door curtain for the front door from 4 panels - that's a thick, heavy, winter, door curtain for £4 - bargain

I also made a bag to carry my Inktense pencils about in.  I have the sets of wooded drawers in the office (really fab storage and not at all expensive) - but when I go to the flat I want to take them to colour images.  I made a bag exactly the right size to take my box of images and papers and fit the drawers on top.

Don't ask me sizes - I just made it up

Stretch N Bubbles

Stretch N Bubbles - SHOP
Stretch N Bubbles - BLOGSPOT

We are into the fever of Christmas properly now, and I just love this modern tree image - sucker for trees anyway.

as it is such a modern image you can really go for a colourful look too.

I printed 2 image - but I have the second one a little bit smaller than the base - so that when I cut out and layered up the trees I would get a shadow effect.  The base layer is coloured plainly with Copics and the top layer is coloured with sparkly gel pens and pearl drops.  I cut round the image - matted it - and raised it on the card.  Then made of of my fave shaggy bows with a bell - super cool

sunday

My dear friend Barbra Gray (Clarity Stamps) is listed in the 2011 crafting awards.

Please - please go over and vote for her - she has worked sooo hard all these years to finally be recognised and her work has incouraged and inspired me along the way.
VOTE HERE - only take you 2 minutes
Other great news - I have been accepted by Woodware Craft Collection for a trade account.
- Wow the kitten feels all growed up.
This means I can expand my range of supplies for sale from my site at a really great price for you.  I am not going to stock the stamps - but I will be able to get them on order for you.  I want to concentrate more on the practical tools side - and inks of course ;-)

So glitter pens - metallic pens - double sided tape - plain card - book rings (loads of book rings!!!) - ribbon - ink brushes and dabbers - the hands onn stuff I love.

Other news - kitten has been contracted by The grasmere Gingerbread Shop to make wedding favour boxes.  How cool is that?  They wanted custom made sizes to fit the size of biscuit/cake they make rather than the off the shelf standard.  No idea what the volume will be - but loving the idea.  The samples go to the photographer on Monday so today I am busy making up pristine colourful samples that will look super cool and get kitten loads of work ;-)

The old goat

I have been on the old gost for ages to let me have some of his cartoons to make up into cards - and I finally pinched one off him!

I hope this is the start of a new line - but as it has taken me about 3 years to get this far - don't hold your breath!!!

Shelly's images - Pine - Show us what you got

Shelly's Blog - HERE
Shelly's Images shop - HERE

This week we have Pine Branches to work with - a really good old fashioned image.

There is aways someone that we can't send a 'Happy Christmas' to - whether it's illness or religion.  I always make a couple of thinking of you types and I really struggle to find good images - love this - perfect.

I used Inktense on the images to give the soft look - and I printed 3 extra pine branches to layer over the image.  Little bow, and a bit of ribbon dress it up a bit without making it fussy

Stretch N Bubbles

Stretch N Bubbles - SHOP
Stretch N Bubbles - BLOGSPOT

I love these garden gnomes - they look such happy chappies - not a huge fan of those over the top garden ones though!

So I used much more muted colouring (copics) - and matched them up with a delicate pattern paper and a bit of old gold pearl matting.

I love the way the tummies have come out - they really do look round

Sunday

I seriously need a make-over in my craft space.  I am bursting at the seems and i have just put in for a couple of big contracts

It is really hard to take photos because the space is so small.  When the builders put in the staircase to the attic and made the old goat's studio - there was a bit of the tiny bit of what was the 3rd bedroom left over - and that's mine.

It is about 7ft wide and 4 ft deep - plus a bit of corridor

I have my main desk - no matter how hard I try it's always a mess

underneath is my big book and folder storage
There are loads of books piled up on the floor behind my Hougie board

Over the desk is all my ink storage - and my precious Copics

- and in the corridor an odd mix of book cases and my 12" shelves
behind me I have a big book case on the side
and a packed dvd shelf unit behind me
I seriously need to have a change around and get some paper racks and hooks

Saturday

Running way behind and have not got much gone.  My printer was really playying me up this morning - it kept jamming - then it sulked and I had to completly re-boot and re-start - then it would still only print half the image before jamming again grrrrrrrrr
I have made some Christmas gift boxes that needed NO images printing!
This is a super box technique, really strong and useful - half origami - half paper crafting - you do make 4 cuts - but it's mostly folding.  No measuring - just start with a square - my idea of how to work!

Shelly's Images - Holly - show us your insides!

Shelly's Blog - HERE
Shelly's Images shop - HERE

Call me old fashioned - I do like traditional images for Christmas and this holly is perfect,  It is a new image in the shop now

I copied the image - made it a bit smaller and then flipped it so that I had a hanging sprig - don't you just love digis?
Than I put it on the inside of a gate fold card.  The backing paper has been knocking about my office for about 5 years - from the time when there was a craze for natural images on scrapbook paper.  See - never throw anything away

The front of the card is left very simple so you get a surprise when you open it
