Saturday Art Day

I have been decorating the frame and starting to add the text to my Banshee pages

Still loads to add - but  love that it's fine to take 2 or 3 weeks on a page and it doesn't have to be done instantly!

Saturday Art Day

I have been working on this 2 page spread for the past couple of days - but I am going to stop now.  Getting a bit over tired and can't wait to go home!!!

I still have loads to do to the scroll decoration and a bit of the painting to finish.  And then there is the verses to fit in.  Have to say I am pleased with the way the dress has turned out - Gansi Tambi watercolours

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday

It's ages since I played this - it might make me tidy up a bit.  I swear the pixies come in the night and scatter paper all over my desk.

Task of the day - where there is chaos - bring order

IFTTT

There is a brilliant new linky up thingie (see the techno jargon xx) that will link up various bits / systems that you use on the web so you can find the stuff you need to work.  It's called IfThisThanThen - https://ifttt.com

It is based on the old maths idea if something does this - then that happens - ie if you add a post to blogger then it can be added to facebook.  Teeny tiny example - I haven't even heard of most of the systems / apps thay they have!

Anyway - I need to test if the links I have set up really will work - so the excuse is a cute photo of William stealing Henies spot on the sofa

Saturday Art Day

This little chap is drawn with a 005 micron pen. The writing is done in Diamine Ancient Copper but I have use the same pen that I was using for a Sepia and the text has the most wonderful shading of light and dark.

I once had a lady looking at my work when I was at a show and asked where she could buy a bottle of stripy ink like my writing.

I use Robin double knitting 100% acrylic yarn for all my knitting work.  If you are using pure wool, or a wool mix you will need more as the yarn is heavier.
Disclaimer: This is my own original work.  Use it for your own use or for charity selling.  Use it to inspire you, and to lead you on to other projects.  But, please do not resell the pattern as your own workings.  It takes me years of learning, and months of work to produce a final pattern.

Kit of the month - Squirrel hanger

This month's kit is a felt squirrel hanger - and I am going to step things up a bit for you.

I have loads of kits in the shop from the really simple starters for the younger kiddies - and still easy, but a bit more detail for the olders - then cut out to stitch kits for more experienced and grown ups - so I am going to place my kits as projects for those who want to stretch themselves and learn.  I will give you enough fabric - along with the pattern - and let you cut it all out.  Photocopy the pattern and you can use it again to make the project again (and again - and again - and everyone gets one for Christmas!!!!).  The instructions will stay really simple steps so you can still follow all the steps - and all the bits and bobs will still be in the kits so all you need is the box.
