Shop Talk

You are going to have to bear with me - tha 'darling' internet providers have cut off my phone line - long story.

I have registered with a new provider - but of course that takes time - and it will be a good week/10 days before I am properly up and running again.

At the moment I am using my laptop with the dongle to pick up emails and keep the shop site running so it won't effect the sales side too much.  You may find that it takes me a day longer to get parcels out -  the dongle is S-O-O-O-O-O  S-L-O-O-O-O-O-W  if you order late in the afternoon I may not be able to get the email until the next morning.  Also I can't update the physical shop stock as much as I would like.

Don't worry - it will all iron out in the long run - I just worry too much!

Do You Stack Up? Challenge blog - #95 - Embossing

* Winner's Choice of 5 Digital Stamps

      Birdie Brown
*Winner's Choice of 3 Digital Stamps

* Winner's Choice of 6 Digital Images

 I had a super Autumn Harvest image called Apple Cider from Robyn's Fetish-  I thought I would make a tag for a change.  People make such super tags and it's not something that I have really got into.

The background is embossed with the cuttlebug using the 'pumpkin' folder and I inked one side of the folder so that I got inking on the bottom sides of the pattern.

I used the digi image three times - once for the big bottle - another the same size and just used the label to get a bit of shape - than another one much smaller for the frone bottle.  The bottle sides are heat embossed to give them a glaze to look like old stone.  You use the Versamark pen to go over the areas you what embossed - use clear powder - and heat.  Brilliant technique

Hope you like it

Shop talk

Well all the Christmas stock is in now (apart from some Ranger goodies that should be in this/next week) - I have just listed the Card Candi colours - Vintage Berries is fantastic with the traditional muted reds and greens this year - and if you fancy a bit of bling there are the gold and silver dotted versions as well.   The Holly Berries is a brighter, modern take on the Christmas reds and greens.

 AND - new for me - some really wonderful stamping images for you

the Beatrix Potter - Winter's tale - to fit in with our Beatrix Potter range

Plus a couple of Paintbox Poppets - I could not resist these

a fantastic girl

and - of course - a boy to go with her

PLUS - a couple of Sheena Douglass really traditional ones

all these are unmounted stamps - the foam to mount them is in the Stamping section with all the shown stamps (right at the bottom!)

goodie bags

It's Friday - it can't be Friday - I am not ready for Friday.  That means I have to go home tomorrow for my rest and wait 2 whole days to come back to work.  What I need is 2 Thursdays - we could have Thursday and then Thursday Again - then Friday - that would work.

I have another goddie bag for you today - bearing in mind that the big 'C' word is coming soon!

I have put together a fantastic bag with all the Beatrix Potter characters.  There are all the single stamps (and a block to put them on) - the co-ordinating papers - ribbons - gems.  Plus some card blanks - double sided tape - peel off greetings - matching coloured card - some little embellishments to complete your projects - and all sorts of other bits and bobs.

All in a fantastic, lined, hand made tote, with ribbon handles and pretty trim

in the shop - or on the website now - £56.00

Wow - what a present that would make!

* Silver & Gold Embossing Powders

*Winner's Choice of 5 Digis

* Winner's Choice of 3 Digis

I had a Mermaid on a swing to play with this week from My Heart Pieces - and as the theme is vintage/old - I thought I would break out the Distressing inks and have a bash at that.  I had the most wonderful afternoon - fiddling and tinkering - There are so many layers, you can't see them all in the photo (and it's Ester's favorite colour ;-)  )

NEW RELEASE

To celebrate the launge of our new range of knitting and crochets kits - the first 3 people who leave a comment here and send me their address will get one of my new kits FREE (UK only please as I have to pay postage ;-) )

The kits have been in the pipe line for a little while now - there is a mitten due soon, and a couple of toys to follow- so watch out for them.

The whole big thing about my kits is that you will get everything you need to make the project - even the needle and thread to sew on the ribbon (toy kits will include the stuffing).  All you will need is a pair of 4mm knitting needles or a 4mm crochet hook - all the kits are designed to be worked on these sizes - so you don't have to have loads of kit hanging about.  Also - I have kept the language very simple and don't use any of the technical jargon or abrevations - so it is as easy as possable for beginners to complete.

If you would like to purchase the kit - KIT HERE

Blog up for grabs

No - not this one ;-)

Do any of you remember 'The UK Art Raffle' blog?  It used to be huge, and then seemed to tail off.  It was a challenge blog where you actually won all the art work that people had made.

I picked up the name ages ago from the person who wanted to hand it over - but to be honest I just don't have the time or networking skills to make a go of it.

Anyone want to take it over?

You can change it to put your own personality on it.

Leave me a message - other wise it will be consigned to the annuls of history (when I work out how to delete a blog!)

New look!!

Christmas is coming - the goose is geting fat - and kitten is just about getting her fluffy little ears round it all.  I have added a new stand just for the next couple of months for all the Christmas stuff.  Loads of you have started on their cards and things - and now you can find it all in one place in the shop

I am starting to plan the personalised cards too.  I have a new design this year - a really cutie fluffy teddy - so that should be available soon as well.

The card of A Puppy's Christmas is proving very popular - it is sold out at the moment - but I will be doing more ready for the weekend - if I get a move on!!!!

shop talk

I have decided that we are going to stock the Jenni Bowlin range from Ranger.  There are ink pads and paint dabbers so far - and because they are made by Ranger you get the same fantastic quality pigment colours as the Tim Holtz range - but they are not as expensive, and they are much brighter, cleaner colours than his range

I am starting with the paint dabbers and have picked up some of the more Christmas colours
