Art on the Prom - Grange

It's the last Art on the Prom show in Grange tomorrow -- and I am really sorry - but I won't be there.

My health has been fragile for the past couple of months - and I am just starting to pull out of it this week or so.  I can't risk another fibro flare up setting me back again at this time of year.  I have tons still to do in the shop - and just don't talk about the website - anyone want to volunteer ;-).  I did get several projects finished this week - or nearly there - so I can start on a new Christmas kit - get the button boxes up to date - and get all the back room 'kitchen' production line rolling again.

Christmas is coming!!!!

OK chaps - you have nagged me into it - Christmas is here!!

Lots of stock has arrived - some is still drifting into the country and there will be new bits and bobs right through til November.

Few of the highlights
- we will be stocking House Mouse stamps.  In case you have not come across these darling little chaps before they are super quality cling-mount rubber stamps are made from deeply etched, precision trimmed premium grey rubber. With 1/8" thick grey foam for a smooth impression on uneven or textured surfaces. The cling stamp, are backed with a full sized, indexed sheet of acrylic cling vinyl. The index allows for exact placement of the image when used with a clear acrylic handle.

so far I have picked up a few Christmas ones - but if you like them I will be adding more to the range.

I have a few die cut greetings from a new company - thought they would be really useful

and there are shapes coming in as they arrive in the country from the USA

Mouseloft Christmas cross stitch are in - I also picked up the Biscuit the Cat range - and the Little Dog range - thought they would make cute stocking fillers.

Felt ornaments to make for the tree are also super kits for stocking fillers - or you to make your self

there are 11 different ones all together - so loads of choice - but get in quick - once they are gone there won't be any more this year!

Tando shapes will arrive next week - loads of fantastic shapes and projects on a Christmas theme - fantastic ideas  and really unusual. 

Felt - foam - ribbon - embroidery threads - yarns - all in bright modern Christmas colours - or more traditional vintage Christmas colours

Have been plastering

I thought that I would start showing my son how to DIY - starting with taking off a short row of tiles in my kitchen.  I think he got a bit carried away - he took off the tiles - and the plaster - and the under coating - right back to the raw brick work!!!!

Never mind - now he has to learn how to plaster a wall

new knitting section

 - well - section is too grand a title really!

The first of our 'overhaul' projects is underway - the small passageway that still had the last section of the false walling in place has been stripped out.  There is now the plain painted plaster wall and a wooden panel with hooks for the yarn storage.  The yarn section has grown and grown - I never expected that one - but love all the knitting and crochet going on.

new handbag

I have just bought the most beautiful handbag and purse.

The lady that makes them is called Veronica - and she is in the Westmoreland Shopping Center on Wednesdays - and at Art on the Prom in Grange at the end of the month.

I asked her to look out for something 'vintage' looking - clocks - or postcards - maps or something - -and just look what she made me.

Just how gorgeous is this!!!  I haven't had a new hand bag for years and years - and I am so thrilled with this.

Christmas is coming!!!

phew - what a couple of weeks we have had!  The town has been busy - the shop has been busy - I have had a couple of big jobs to get through and we are starting to plan Christmas.

Now - this week we get the kids off our hands - back to school ;-) - - so we can turn our thoughts towards CHRISTMAS.

Yes - really.  It's been noticeable this past week or so just how many of you are dropping the 'C' word - so I have been out and about (spending loads o' money) getting you Christmas stuff.

New stamps - LOADS of papers - new spritzers - picked up a few die cutters - new Mouseloft ranges - Now stocking Housemouse stamps - kids crafts to make - new Tando shapes - new christmas knitting kits - silly stocking fillers.

It is all starting to drift in - and I am making a really BIG effort to get the website polished and up to date.  I will try to get a newsletter out this month so sign up on the website if you want to stay in touch with a newsletter (you won't get overloaded - I only manage 2 or 3 a year!)

And - 'like' the Facebook page to keep up to date with all the small details as they happen
