It turned into quite a sunny day today after days of serious downpouring, and I was quite bright and chipper - so I was tinkering about with the scraps of paper left over from making my tiny spring cards. I had cut all the pieces of paper the same way so I had a small heap of paper squares all the same so I stuck some of them together like a patchwork quilt, and put them on pink pearl mat - then I added a bit of faux stitching round all the edges.
The flower is cut and embossed with the cuttlebug 'Build a Flower' set. Hubby bought me this a couple of christmases ago - it is such a pretty set. The middle is flat and so are the petal edges - but the petal middles have a foam pad underneath to make them stand up a bit - and I rubbed a bit of ink over the very top of the embossing to add a bit of extra interest.
