Gecko Galz

This is another of the wonderful Chinese designs from the CD Chopstix available in the Gecko Galz shop

I know it's cheating a bit - but what the heck - we all love oriental designs.  I don't ofter use cut out lettering, but this time I wanted to keep the cover light and lacy like the paper so I used one of the alphabet sets on the Cuttlebug.  They are crazy expensive in the UK - but I picked them up in the USA years ago when the exchange rate was really good for about £15

Shelly's Images - New Year

Shelly's Blog - HERE
Shelly's Images shop - HERE
Shelly has done us a muli-purpose New Year / wedding / celebration image.

I wanted a theme that you could send to just say congrats to a couple - for what ever reason

I cut out the 'glasses' and raised them - then added 3D glaze so that they shine.  The paper is the last of a wonderful one I have been treasuring for about 4 years now.  The castles and the fireworks are actually bright shiny silver and it's stunning.  The red matting is a holographic self adhesive foil - wish I could remember where it came from - I would love some more.

Do You Stack Up? Challenge #52 - Rainbow colours

Hello all! This week we have a huge celebration in store! Do You Stack Up?! has made it a whole year and we are ready to party! For this challenge, we want to see a Rainbow of Colors! On your project, use at least 3 colors from the Inspiration Photo below.

This week's Sponsors:

Do You Stack Up?!
Surprise Package

Stitchy Bear Designs
$10 Gift Voucher

Bugaboo Stamps
Winner’s Choice of 7 Digis

Dearie Dolls
Winner’s Choice of 4 Digis

The Paper Shelter
$20 Gift Certificate

Pink Cat Studios
Winner’s Choice of 5 Digis

Amber Ink
$10 gift certificate

Little Claire Designs
Two Clear Stamp Sets

Hope Jacare
Winner’s Choice of 3 Images

Wooo Hooo - let loose on colours again.  This little image is so pretty - loads of details and depth - looks really effective.  It was given to me by Dearie Dolls - such a pretty shop.

We have so many sponsors - all with loads of prizes - to start your craft year off with a bang

I have coloured with Copics - but not attempted to shade anything.  I thought it would only spoil all the tiny areas.  One tip for colouring tiny spaces - keep very light.  Don't think that if you use a dark strong shade it will make it stand out - it won;t all you will do is loose all the details.

Stretch N Bubbles - final post

Stretch N Bubbles - SHOP
Stretch N Bubbles - BLOGSPOT

This is a really sad post for me - this is the very last post for Stretch N Bubbles as we know it.

Not for a bad reason - Alison is moving forward with the business and a company has bought out the rights to her images to make as stamps and stencils - how cool is that.  But it means that the digital side has to close.  I have been with Alison for so long now I am going to really miss it all - but I do have grand plans of my own for next year.

So say cheerio, and thank you for following me, I have a freebie for you.  Darling little Pounce

And a card made with him - the background was embossed with the folder inked - then inked again to pick out the raised areas.  Pounce is shaped and raised with silicone glue - and the tiny decals are actually fimo slices for nails

I have loved mu time with Stretch N Bubbles - and I hope you have enjoyed seeing what the digis can be made into

Stay with my blog and follow all the other projects I create
- and I will tell you my own grand plans for the next year in about 2 weeks

Shelly's Images - Christmas Garland

Shelly's Blog - HERE
Shelly's Images shop - HERE

I am such a sucker for tree images.  Honestly - anything with a tree on it - I need it
I had this amazing gold and silver grey bauble paper that I picked up a few years ago - and had to use that.  You can go as wild as you like with this image - looks hot in bright colours.  Just for once I am classic and elegant - mark the spot - may not happen twice ;-)

Do You Stack Up? Challenge #51 - Stripes

Hey everyone! Welcome to a new challenge at Do You Stack Up?! This week we want to see your Stripes!

This week's Sponsors:

The Craft’s Meow
Winner’s Choice of 1 Stamp Set

Prairie Fairy Designs
$15 Gift Certificate

The Cat's Meow sent me a stamp to use for this.  Now I am not the best known for my stamping abilities - but I have to say that this stamped first time really beautifully.  The lines are so clear and delicate that I wanted to leave the image to speek for it's self so I stamped it on cream, cut it really close and just inked the edges a bit

New notice board

I needed a little notice board for my flat - a place to tuck in vouchers and coupons for the shops.  All it is is a bit of old foam board (good old foam board ;-) ) covered with 12" scrapbook papers and ribbons across with brad at the joins to keep the ribbons and notes in place - oerfect for what I needed - and free from my stash!
