Sunday
I picked this up years ago in a charity shop when my son was into Warhammer figures as a stamd got him to display them
Well - he out grew hid finurines and it had sat in the shed for years. Call me an old softy - but I could not bear to patr with it. It is beautyfully hand made - the little shelves are cut in to the frame - and the mitre is perfect.
Well I gave it a rub over and p\inted it to use on the stall
Displaying some of the gift boxes I have made today - I am so pleased with it - I sooo need a little shop!

Saturday
The old goat is in Whitby at The Bram Stoker Film Festival. If you are over that side of the country keep an eye open for him - he has a stall doing his quick portraits.
Now then boyz and girlies - - - - what mischief can we get up to this weekend :;-)
First - enter the soxlets Halloween challenge - you have to use one of Ericas digis - but there are freebies to pick up
Next - I am not making a single gift range for Christmas this year (last year it was crochet broaches and bookmarks if you remember) - I am going to make a few different paper gifts and loads of gift boxes.
First - the tissue box. This normally does the rounds as a cover for those tall square boxes - but the compact kleenex men's is a perfect size. Going to make 4 - worked out the pattern on my hougie board yeah!
Then - Brilliant idea (and ALL mine!). I have one of those magnetic panels to put on the car with my company details (free from vista print) and the old goat won't let me put it on the car - perfect for my creatable dies - and exactly the same size as Cuttlebug folder
Right - finally - loads to list in the shop and clear the backlog

Darling airplane $1 digi from Stretch N Bubbles - just look at Marcy's card
Also - some exciting new for you.
I have teamed up with a a lady that makes the most incredible vintage Bohemian style keepsake boxes and memory albums covered with silks and lace - fresh water pearls and amazing trims. AND all done by hand. I will be supplying personalised text plates with the couples/event details.
We are still working out all the tiny details - but I have already done some work for her and we hope to expand next year when the wedding season really kicks in.
Do pop over and check out her work - it is so pretty

We don't have the candid corn in the UK - and don't really go mad over corn - the closest we have is Harvest Festival - and Harvest Supper.
Just to show you how versatile your digi images are - I used my corn image this week to make a poster advertising for our local church Harvest super (we get our digis in advance so I did this a while back ;-) )
Just put the image into what ever word/publishing package you use and add your text. Now all your posters will be sooo professional!

Hey everyone! So glad to have you with us again at Do You Stack Up?! This week we are getting in gear to celebrate the spookiest holiday of the year! That's right... we want to see your Halloween creations!
Prairie Fairy Designs
$15 Gift Certificate
I used this 'Happy Witch' from Sassy Cherys Digisl. I love playing with skin colours and halloween is the perfect excuse to be totally outlandish. The skin tones are the Copics BG9x set - and I outlined the image with tiny strokes of a metallic green ink just as something a bit different for a change

Scrapper's Delight
I love the super cool gothic images from Scraper's Delight - not into the 'cutie' girlies!!!
I had the fab Esmeralda image - and it's on sale at the moment
How cool is this???
Black - it had to be something black. I am getting better at my black colouring - but it is really hard
I made a scrapbook
All the colouring is mine - with Copic
hope you like it

Hougie
Been playing with my new Hougie - so first experiment - first project - first tip (I drew on my board!!!!!)
First experiment - always loved that Tim Holtz die that makes the rosette - never could afford it though. So my first project with the Hougie was to make something similar - just to play with scoring. Did a .5cm one and a 1/2" one. I punched the outer edge with the spider web to make a frill effect - I am really pleased with the look
First project - on my blog - at last the 'how to' for the box with the higher back to decorate!!
Over on my site now
Rel you what - it took me longer to set up up the tutorial than it did to get the basic pattern right
First tip - I wanted to score a diagonal line to make the back pattern - BUT I could not be sure that I had lined up the top mark with the bottom mark along the same score line - so I drew up one of the score lines with a permanent pen. Now I can see exactly where the score line is top to tail!

Digi - new idea
Digis are soooo cool - you just have to trust me on this one!!
Think of them more as 'tools' to use where you need them!!!
The mums on the estate have always got together and done the 'trick or treat' run in batches. this year they have gone down the 'who wants to join in' route and are really organised.
So now we have these signs (all laminated and stuck in garden canes) in all our garden so the kiddies know where to knock to get sweeties. Owwww that's so cute (my son is way too big to play now) - so chuffed the little kiddies still want to play here.
All you do is put the image into your word processing/DTP/ typw programe and add the text you want. I use Word or Publisher. The sign is laminated and taped onto a garden cane
I have used Erica's Halloween images - HERE
AND the new Christmas Sox are HERE - love Portia!!!!
AND the $1 digi from Stretch N Bubbles this week is one of my fave monsters
- just check out what Marcy dit with it - - - love this!!

Shelly's Images - Spyder - Show Us What You got!
Shelly's Blog - HERE
Shelly's Images shop - HERE
This week we are working with the 'spider'images set (in the shop HERE) and the theme is Show Us What You Got!!!.
What have I got? - A total irrational fear of spiders to start with!!
In the UK we have 'paper bag tea-lights' - very expensive paper bags that you put a tea light in and it shines out a pattern. So I thought that this would be a great shadow picture for this.
I used a very thin cream card and re-sized the corners so that I had 3 panels - then I put a spider image in each of them. I left the bottom 1" or so plain so that I could fold it under and stand it up.
These would look amazing up a flight of steps - but please note - this is an OUTSIDE ONLY thing

Stretch N Bubles
Stretch N Bubbles - SHOP
Stretch N Bubbles - BLOGSPOT
This is a classic 3 image statement card that every card maker should have in their layout notebook.
You can have 3 images the same - or 3 different. Each one is matted and raised over a patterned background - this is a scrapbook paper that I thought matched the image perfectly.
I used flower Love - which is a new image from Alison.
I re-sized it so I could fit 3 large images onto a DL card and coloured them all a bit differently with Copics.
Can you see that the outside of the petals is a bit paler? If you use your Copic to colour solidly for the first layer - then go back and just recolour the center - you get this tonal effect. Useful if you just want a bit of shading with out getting other colours involved

A Neat Trick
This is a cool idea - not mine I must add - came from my friend Janet at the Paper Warehouse.
the stamp is a wreath - with loads of sequins added - but the clever bit - the 'dangles' at the top. we used wires to thread the beads onto, and a glue gun to secure, all hidden by the bow - but you could easily use thread and string through to the back.
Neat trick eh?

New toy - emmm tool
You know me - I am not one for gadgets and gizmos - but I have to confess that I have just bought a Hougie board.
I love making boxes and purses - and as I spend so much time on American sites all the instructions are for the Score-pal and Score-buddy. I spend ages trying to work it out for my trimmer with the score blade in - and usually am out a bit - with the line not quite straight etc - etc.
So I invested in a Hougie. The best place to get one I found was direct from the hougie site. Much cheaper than Ebay or Amazon - and no postage. Arrived beautifully packed by recorded mail in a couple of days - thanks Hougie.
So here we go - simple test tube box
I have great hopes of spending a couple of days next week sorting out all my box template notes and getting them into some sort of usable state!

Shelly's Images - Fall Friends - Layers
Shelly's Blog - HERE
Shelly's Images shop - HERE
This week we are working with the 'Fall Friends' images and the theme is layers.
I hope you can see what I have done - it looks really cool!
I 'copy and pasted' my image so I had 2 the same size - and I cut out just the pumpkin body for the top layer. Then I cut out the eyes / nose / mouth and outlined them with black to exagerate the contrast. I put some vrey shiny yellow 'crackle' pattern paper over the back pumpkin and raised the front with foam squares
