"Helloww! I am E.T. of VIBGYOR Krafts from Karachi, Pakistan. It's not because I am tall, lanky and green that I am called E.T., they are my initials :o) All the guys used to call me that in school because it was SO cool to have initials "ET", well it just kinda stuck and now it's like a 'real' name! Anyway,  I am so honoured and thankful to the DT for choosing me as a guest designer. I was told that the challenge this week would be "to use your scraps", I was kinda happy about it. Here in Karachi we have ZERO craft supplies so I treasure every bit of RAK I get, yes... I save every bit of scrap left from designer papers... even the free digi papers that I print out. You wont believe it but I even save my bad Silhouette cuts and I DO use them in my creations... no one can tell they aren't cut well after I am done working on them! All my creations that you are seeing today are made up of scraps left from various digi papers and CS. I love A Day For Daisy images - you can always spot the style across the room.  And they work so hard - there is new stuff all the time, theamed to the time of year or just for fun. I used all my scraps as the background - and I will give you a quick 'how to' on how to create the effect

For the background

Take some patternen paper - one print or several

Tear it up into rough scraps and ink all the edges - the rougher the better 

 Stick all the bits overlapping ramdonly on to a piece of backing card larger than you will need. Don't worry about securing all the tiny edges - just get it down!

 Then cover the whole lot with a good dollop of PVA - use one of these plastic glue spreaders to work the glue well over the whole surface and scrape off any excess so you don't get big lunps

Leave it to dry OVERNIGHT before you try to cut it into the shape you want. Yours

Super cool - quick and easy project for you ready in time for the Trick or Treaters ariving on a door step near you VERY SOON - how quick has this year gone?

Erica also includes a pre-coloured image with the digi images.  This is handy to use as a colour guide - to use if you don't like to colour - or if you want to make tiny images that would be too small to colour.  The Haloween images I have used are HERE

Digi magic - insert the image onto a blank page in your PC program.  Make it quite small and copy and paste loads of times.  Then add the other image and do the same.  Spread and mix the images all over your page.  Use the 'rotate' tool to swing them round - make them unside down - sideways - anything.  Print the page and use it to make your project

This is the basic cone pattern - 1/4 circle drawn at the corner of a piece of paper - you can choose any size you want - just stick the edges together with double sided tape and fill with sweeties

And this is my first mini pizza box.  I got the pattern from Papercraft Planet - the Tuesday 3D challenge is great if you like boxes and purses


I cut off the tree branch and tried to make it look as if he is swinging from the star.  He is raised on joam pads so you lotes of interisting shadows with the Swiss dots backgrouns.  It's a diddy little box - just right for a gift card - cinima tickets - beads (the guys are all into beads at the moment???) or memory stick.

Erica has been sewing and drawing like crazy and there are loads of handmade monkeys (and friends) in the pipeline - plus new digis for Christmas.  Check out the website and facebook

Couple of small quickies for you to day - a tip for a new bow style and a new website for our canine friends

Jingle bells are all the rage this Christmas - but how to use them in a way that looks stylish and grown up?  New 'bow' style for you

Just how beautiful is this?

You will need 5 or 6 different style ribbons - mix up think and thin ribbons with glitter or fluffy fibres.  Cut short lengths - make then all slightly different.  Tie together by wrapping a crochet cotton thread (or similar) and thread it through the bell loop to attach the bell.  Tie very tightly so you can push and pull the ribbon lengths about to spread them out a bit.  Attach to the card with a glue gun or silicone glue.

or - use a wire to bind the ribbons together and curl the ends of the wire

or - you could stitch to a cushion.  - Just something a bit different.

My dogs have a new fave web side!

I - WE - met these guys at a show and just fell in love with their cookies.  Seriously - you should just smell the peanut butter ones!

The girls back everything themselves and the biscuits use gluten free flours and no preservatives for the highest standards and tastiest treats, There are cup cakes (soooo cute), chocolates, lollipops chews and shoes as well as the cookies.  My dogs favorite is the paw cookie with chocolate pads - they use molasses for the sweetness and the dogs love it.

I have got my sewing machine at the flat now and I am re-discovering sewing.  I made the 'mistake' of going into Reticule the other day.  My-oh-my - a jewal box in fabrics!!!!!!!!  Just devine - and yes I did.  Going to make a Christmas table centre - then a patchwork cat pillow - then ........

My health has taken another back step this summer.  I can no longer do manual work.  I have always loved to do DIY - putting furnature together - restoring Charity shop finds - digging the garden - growing veg - doing all my own painting and decorating etc.  I baught one of those simple pine shoe racks and I could not put it together.  I just did not have the strength to screw in the screws.  I had moticed that I was struggling to sand up some an old dresser that I had picked up - but thought I would just pace myself.  Not a chance.  I can still do a bit of light manual work - bit of painting - hang 2 strips of wall paper - sweep the pation - but that's it.  No more DIY.  Mind you there are those who say a girl should not be hammering - sawing - and scewing things anyway.

Speeking of the flat - I finally took a photo of the living room.  Excuse the grotty lighting - I could not make the flash work

I painted the walls a pale pink - and baught a roll of wall paper with big motifs on it.  The shapes were leaves and art deco looking flowers in loads of different sizes and the are all glittery - yes glitter on a wall paper!  I spent a couple of very happy afternoons cutting out all the motifs - then I scattered them in one corner of the room and trailed them out along the 2 walls to the other corners - it looks so cool (and is son proof)
Lastly - the weather - what's that all about then?  Sunbathing on the beach Sunday - giant hail stones Thursday - talk about time passing too quickly 6 months gone in 3 days

shelly's Images - TTT Challenge Somethin' Sweet.

Welcome to another week with Shelly - this week we are looking for Somethin' Sweet

I love how we all get the same image to work with - it really makes you think about being a bit different.

This week we have a mug image (in the shop HERE) - could be tea - coffee - hot chocolate - and guess what most of us went for!!!!

I made mine with a pocket so that you can tuck one of those sachets of Hot chocolate in - and I chose the card colours to match the packet.

The mat is a hamner tecture gold card that I drew gold swirls over - and the word pattern on the mug is a rub on that just happened to be the right colour.  There are die cut swirls in blue and gold useding my fave die.

Almost makes you look forward to winter - - almost ;-)

Easily Amused

I’ve been an avid Arts and Crafter since I was able to hold a crayon. I particularly enjoy needlework and papercrafts, don’t even think about taking my sewing machine away. Papercrafts are the current obsession. Throwing clay and tatting are the two things that are on my “to learn” list.

When I retired I moved from New Jersey to Florida and love living in the Sunshine State. I miss my friends and the proximity of NYC but I don’t miss the cold or snow.

I’m fortunate to live with a supportive family, hubby, daughter and kitty and proud to see my daughter expressing herself through her drawings and paintings.

This has to be the height of luxury - A Faberge egg.  The image is from Copic Marker Scrapbooking and you can get it HERE if you fancy living the rich life!  You may not think of them as first choice ro look for an image - but they do a lot of Digi images as well as oother stuff.  I have use several now and they are super quality.

I kept the egg as simple as possable - but there is lots of gold sparkle prn in there!  I use the Copic glitter pens  Atyou Spica - there are loads of colours - very glittery - and cheaper than Jelly Rolls (Cult Pens - wonderful chaps).  The ribbon band I made myself by pleating and pinning a wide ribbon and then stitching to keep in place.

This is such a great image - it could be sisters - or friends - or a get-together.

The papers are actually this years Christmas release from Tatty Teddy - really pretty and delicate - not at all Christmas like.  And I embossed the background paper wth the embossing folder to match

Tip or the day

Got a really neat trick for you today - this is so simple - and so clever

- punch a pattern on all 4 front corners of your card

- this works with ALL Martha Stuart corner punches

First - punch your outer corners as normal

Then push one of the 'wings' in to the closed position.  Have a look at the side of the punch - bet you never noticed there was a little line at the bottom - just by where the wing pulls out!

Now - open up the card - line up the open wing with the paper - and that little line with your scored fold

Top view -

Side view - see how the line on the punch is along the fold line?

And PUNCH

Then push the out 'wing' in and pull the in 'wing' out and do the other corner

I added an extra border at the outer corners - Just how cool is this!!!

 REALLY clever people can work out the sizes and punch all around the card front - I quite like the variation

After having taught in the public and private school systems for years as a Kindergarten teacher, I am now a SAHW in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Living in the desert has proven to be very interesting.  I started scrapbooking when my grandson was born 6 years ago, and have most recently done more card making than layouts. I love getting out my glue, scissors, die cutting machine, embossing tools, and Copics and making a huge mess!  I guess that comes from the years spent with the five year olds!  My husband supports my “habit” completely and is my number one fan. I spend my days at home with my little Yorkie, Lizzy, and seeing my grandson when I can.   I look forward to being on a Design Team and learning and experiencing new friends, new techniques and new styles!

Hi everyone, my name is Mary. I'm a married SAHM of 2 teens, a boy and a girl. I have lived in colorful Colorado since 1978. I have been crafting from childhood, and have tried everything from sewing to lapidary. I started scrapbooking about 7 years ago and eventually became aware of the wonderful world of card making. I was sent this fab rubber stamp text set from Crafty Individuals.  Fabulous deep etched unmounted red rubber stamps - work beautifully.  I wanted to do somethoing a bit special with it., so I made so I made this card with a tag keep sake.  In the spirit of doing more for the chaps in our life, I have tried to keep it masculine looking so it would be suitable for a special man.  I hope You don't think it's too plain
