NEW IDEA

SOOOOOO what do you think?

I have to get a professional eye to check over it - and I am not very adventurous with my colouring yet (!) - but he is rather cute.

The ferret is hand drawn - copic colours - papers are just scraps out of the box - matted with a new colour in pearl card - 'Bitter Chocolate'

NEW IDEA

You know I have been working with dog training groups for a few years now - I have just hooked up with the local ferret rescue guys (http://www.cumbriaferretrescue.org.uk/)  with the idea to make ferret themed cards.  It is still in the early stages - but I am hoping to develop a section in the shop and donate to them for every card sold

How can you resist?

So here is my ferret sketch for the first few cards

I have got to add a bit of colour to create the fur patterns - but I am very pleased with it

SHOWS

I am doing Dentdale show - I am doing Dentdale show

I was really fed up because hubby had booked a wedding away over the Dentdale show weekend, and it's one of the few 'biggies' that I can afford.

Hubby phoned to double check the arrangements before getting his train ticket - and it's off (thanks for telling us!!!)

I suppose I should not really be chuffed that a wedding is off - but it means the old goat won't be going away for 4 days - and we get to spent the weekend together at a show.  The guy is going to fit us in 'somewhere' - should be interesting.

I did do you a witch card - but it's on the bench - and I am in bed catching up - so you will have to wait until tomorrow for me to scan it in.  Don't seem to be able to go more than a day without a 'Copic fix'

CHALLENGES

had a prod from my mate Helen over at http://ellephantasticchallenges.blogspot.com/
because I have not been joining in - sorry mate - been rough for a bit  now

so - cheats-ville - party invitations - one I made earlier
- I have a Halloween invite - bit early - but it is just so great

- Cut the pumpkin shape - draw the black lines on it
- stick it onto black card so you can cut the cat's head and tail
- add paws and pumpkin's face
- add a white circle on the back for your invite details

You don't have to add me to the challenge - just sharing  :-)

NEW CARD

Have been doing another study section of the Suzanne Dean class - seriously guys - if you want to really learn Copic techniques - get over to her classes - she is just amazing.  Breaks all the rules - right up my street  :-)

So this is the homework for 'wood'

The brown one was the technique as given.

Then I thought - we paint our sheds don't we?  So I use the same method with different colour groups.

Spring
Summer
Autumn
Winter
- get it?

NEW IDEA

I have had an 'experimenting' day to-day.  Did not really have a project in mind, could not be bothered to tackle something complicated - just wanted to 'fiddle' about.

so here's a new idea

- you don't have to use the whole embossed image

I cut these panels 6.5 cm x 14cm

- then lined them up in the Cuttlebug embossing folder where I liked the pattern best.

The colour is done with Memento Dewdrops - added gems and ribbon.  I am going to make them up as little note cards.

Pretty cool technique

NEW STOCK

I  love it when something new arrives.  I have plans to add a bit of stock to  the shop, so I bought a few balls of Crochet cotton to add.  It's great for book binding and stitching on cards - adding bead tassells.  I got a really good wholesale deal so can sell it much cheaper than the shops.

Have a look and see what you think
http://www.princesskitten.co.uk/shopfront/cat_293575-Thread.html

I have a huge lot of ribbons coming in from Malaysia too.  I so hope it takes off - then I can add a bit more

NEW CARDS

I have had a 'gentle' busy day - did a bit at the bench and added my new section to the shop

http://www.princesskitten.co.uk/shopfront/cat_291955-Money-Voucher.html

Then tidied up the stamping section - and added new books - yeeeeah work - love it

LIFE

Starting to feel a bit brighter - have got loads sorted out in the shop - new section added so I can sell on some of the books I don't use anymore.  It probably sounds daft to add them to my web site - but most are craft books and I can easily list them onto EBay from my website.  The guys wrote this cool gadget that uses the listing direct from the site at the touch of a few buttons - and it all intergrates to the order management in my site too.

There is loads of work to do on the site - I keep starting things and getting distracted, wonder off and forget to finish it.  Still have the party designs to finish and I started that at least 18 months ago.

Going to get cracked into the money voucher section tomorrow - it's just such a cool idea!

Tuesday

Not been into the office today - did not even go and have my nails done  -  - - that's how rough I feel.

I am not too bad if I sit still - as soon as I try to get about I get all hot and dizzy.  Trying to cook a roast chicken dinner at the moment - sounds grand, but it's all frozen and tins (except the gravy - I do still make that)

NEW IDEA

Not really well engough to sit and work - so I have been in my cabin crocheting flowers

I thought I make several different ones and list them on EBay as well as my website to see if they get any interest.

You never know - every £1 earned and all that

Have you seen the Graze Boxes?  This is my new desk top companion.

Great fun - little boxes of nibbles that are actually good for you.  I always struggle to find nice treats - I am not keen on sweets and bickies (and I shoulden't eat them anyway)

Have a look - if you like the idea I have a code to get a free box to try
