LIFE

Finally got the card dug out of the snow to go shopping - it took 3 of us to push it and get it on the road after we had cleared the space.

Morrison's was a night mare!!!  Never been shopping this close to Christmas - would have gone on Monday if I could have.  The poor staff on the checkouts!  So glad I am not working in shops anymore.  We spent as long at the check out as we did to fill the trolly.  That's it now guys - all done - not going out for 2 weeks!

NEW CARD

I was tinkering with the new Martha Stuart punches - and - yes - they are brilliant.

This is the train punch - I punched a strip on the top white strip of the patterned paper - then cut it with a wavy blade and set it on the black stripe at the bottom.  The train is coloured with copics and decoupaged

It is SUCH a joy to be working with spring colours again.  Today is the last day the shop does Christmas

so now I get back to normal

- which is proably a good thing as I went a bit mad on Ebay - opps

Bid on a huge lot of Tim Holtz stuff and sort of won it - never expected to get it soo cheap - but it was still a lot of money.

Well I have had quite a good day - got all my big book cases cleaned and all the pictures on the walls, just got one more corner to muck out.

This afternoon I sat and wrote out most of my Christmas cards - so that's a good job done.  Quite enjoying being able to catch up with all the little jobs  - might need to colour something tomorrow though.

LIFE

Now - princelet wanted a real Christmas tree this year (only put the artificial up in the Dining room last year) - no problem says me - need help to give the living room a good clean through and sort it all out.  Can't do it by myself these days.  Well I gave the fireplace a good scrub and the mantle shelf - then I had all the tv/dvd etc shelves off and polished - him ? ? ?  no where in sight  ! ! !

Well I did really well - but still not ready to get a tree in - wonder if he will pitch in tomorrow?

I could be crafting instead you know

LIFE - THE ANIMALS

We have recently got a homeopath to have a look at the palace guard dog. He scratches himself raw - really sore bold patches - then through the skin. When he is really bad he is yelping in pain and still doing it. The only vet's treatment is to fill him full of steroids - that is the last thing he needs.

Lady I do Yoga with - real down to Earth Mother type - is treating him. It's a bit hit and miss - cos he is a dowg and bit short on words! She has started him on sulphur tables in his water, and I have to say there is a noticeable shift in his focus.

It is hard to explain - and I am not really sure I could - you have to know and work with the guy. He is snuggled on my lap - I have a totally 'dead' leg (that is going to be sooo painful when he moves) because I am scared to move in case he gets the hump - but he is there - and that is the first time for years!!

It will take a while adding stuff and seeing what has an effect - but I am amazed at the chance already

This is the 'freebie' teddy stamp from the Do Craft Winter mag

The thing with Copics is - you always just need the one in-between!

This was the 3rd attempt - and the colour jump is a little big - because I did not have the next step up - so used one a bit sideways.

Love the colour mixes though - not doing any more Christmas - all red-ed and green-en out now - bring on the spring

I have had ALL my shelves off and cleaned, been through all my patterned paper, checked over all my binder - and STILL I have lost my shed stamp. Guess it's gone, it just vanished off my bench grrrr

STUDY DAY

Have been to craft class today.

Had a great time - there were only 3 of us, so we did this card together

:- the stamp is a Penny Black - I love their botanical more that the cuties. Heat embossed with silver tinsel onto Pergomano vellum, and set on a silver background. The Pergomano vellum is better for heating because it's that bit thicker. If I didn't study calligraphy I would get involved in the Pergomano stuff - it takes time and study, which I love - but I have my study time packed to the rafters already

Anyway
and Janet let us choose which other two to do out of all the other Christmas cards that have been done in her classes this year.

Janet is such a sweetie - she lets me just rummage through the drawers and pull out all sorts of bit to use.

I will show you one other I did tomorrow - I put a huge dollop of glaze on it and need it to dry over night

At least I managed something today. Have a really busy day tomorrow - but the weekend is clear to catch up on rest

Guys - am struggling this week - you might have noticed.

Don't really know how I am going to get to the end of this week.

The fibro is really winning at the moment. It crept up on me without me really noticing - normally I see the signs - mind you having said that - all I have done lately is sleep

The old goat has said I can't go to yoga tomorrow - he is going to go in to class his way home from dropping princelet at collage and give them a message. I feel bad because we have a new teacher for a few weeks and I feel I am letting the side down - but at least the old goat can explain for me - they all know my problems.

Going to sleep in - have a hot bath and doze on the sofa

It is deffinatly worse this year - not sure what that means:-)
