NEW CARD
New card (and new keyboard - fancied a change - not so sure now - few stickie keys). Pain levels dropped a bit - hanging around 12/14ish - that's a bit better - well trying
Yours
I 'drewed' this cat-ie pickie all by my self - honest - I really did!
- then I picked out the paper I wanted to use with it - and I coloured my cat to match (with pink in the tea towel - and yellow in the socks)
You can see all the matting and stuff for yourself (any questions - just ask) - the embossing behind the cat is a Cuttlebug folder (it is the 'Gratituge' combo) - the patterned paper is Bo Bunny - I love - no - really - REALLY love - Bo Bunny paper deigns

Feeling a 'little' brighter - on a scale of 1 - 10 the pain levels are about 27.
But - I did do a bit of work today.

The frog is in my digi file - no idea where it came from, just loved him.
Coloured him (it has to be a him - what her would get in that pickle???) as a red bellied tree frog. I used to live near To Marwell Zoo and they have them - they are tint and just sooooo cute.
The scollop shapes are a punch (woodware) and the shading on the froggie - Distress inking of course.
Hope you like it

LIFE
poorly cat update - those of you that follow me will know my Thomas cat was diagnosed with a fibrous tumor growth just before Christmas. He has been amazing and full of life and vitality, despite the ever growing lump on his back - but last night things came to a head. I think the growth was pressing on his spinal cord - and he was starting to loose control of his back legs.
I had to call the vet in at 10.30am this morning - I could not wait any longer - Thomas was very uncomfortable and unhappy. The Vet was just amazing - so caring - Thomas drifted off in my arms at about 11.40am.
You will all just have to forgive me if I take a couple of days out - I have had this little guy since he was 4 weeks old.

COPICS
Gosh - today feels like a Saturday - the old goat has gone to do a wedding and the son has an inset day - so it's Saturday - right?.
I have a small confession - remember the lovely holder thingie I made for my Copic pens? SEE HERE
I love my Copics
Don't ask me how I did it - I just cut loads of (the old goats) card to 13cm wide along the long side - folded to make 10cm - 10cm - 10cm (ish) U shapes and shaved them together until it worked!

ummm - I out grew it. The bits and bobs I have been selling on EBay I spend all the money on Copics - so that's FREE - right :-)
I love my Copics
Every time I have a few quid-ies in credit off I go to http://www.cultpens.com/ (speed dial on the computer - or what!!) I much prefer the Sketch pens so I get a few at a time. Cult are £1 less that the RRP and free post over £10 - no I am not on commission (but I could be if you like ;-) )
My new storage - each section is 10cm x 10cm.

NEW CARD
I have had this stamp for ages and not really used it much.
This card is A5 size with the plain front wrapped in a pattern paper. I coloured the image with Copics - I am experimenting with 'whites'. Then I cut round the outlines and raised the image on sticky pads. It looks really super with all the shadows cast

NEW SITE
Recently I found Suzanne Dean's classroom
Have you seen her work? She is a Copic tutor and her stuff is gorgeous. I have studied with Colleen Schaan (who is also a Copic tutor) and it is just so wonderful that these clever folk really do want to share all the 'how to do' stuff. I have come across calligraphers and artists who won't explain a detail - or tell you how to make an effect - I absolutely refuse to be one of them - just ask guys, and you will get the whole package.
You know I love to study - so I will be signing up for Suzanne's class as soon as I have enough from selling on EBay

DAY OFF - NEW CARD
Monday is normally my day off - but I am not at all well this past couple of days (b****y FMS - had a lovely couple of weeks - and over did it - again). So I could not go to the supermarket - the old goat did a bit of shopping to last us a few days until I can get out and about again.
Me? - I have been colouring.
The postie arrived with 9 new Sketch Copics I bought with the money I got from selling some old gold bits
'Two little Love Birds" is the wording for this birdie one
What other choice did I have, but to sit and colour???
Not sure what to put on the mice one yet.
Couple of 'lovie' cards - love layering different paper patterns - now - what I want to know - faux stitching - yes or no?
I have added tiny 'stitching' around every edge - brown on one black on the other.
Question - is all that extra effort worth it?
Do let me know

NEW CARD
Just finished an Inking course with one of my favorite tutors Colleen Schann - I would so love to do a Copic Certificate Class with her.

I now have a ton of techniques and ideas for backgrounds - this is stamped and embossed with white embossing powder - then you add the inks over the embossing. When you reheat the powder it comes through the inks - super cool

FINISHED - wedding scroll done - the old goat checked it over - just in case I made a spelling mistake (would not be the first time!!!!) - but it's fine - NO - that would be, it's wonderful!! :-)
Playing with my Copics.
I have a whole folder in my photo images that is 'digi' - and I put all the free digi / bought digi / sketched / samples type stuff - so I really have no idea who's image this is /where this image came from. Just wanted to have a play and get my breath back.
It is quite hard to work with a big poem that has been written by someone for something for a reason - don't get me wrong - I love the text - it's just that you really get quite personally involved with the words - and it colours your vision. I usually go through 4 or 5 workings of each line of a poem - and it kind of gets the words right into you.
Now I can kick back and chill

NEW COPIC CARD
Gosh isn't the weather just gorgeous? Have been pottering a bit in the garden - still trying to clear leaves from last winter.
Made this card yesterday - for a break from the wedding scroll - just perfect for this weather
It's Woodware clear magic Ice Cream Parfait set - which I picked up half price in a sale. Coloured with Copics (of course).
I have just ordered a few more Sketches from my EBay funds - it's kind of like they are free. - That's kitten logic

LIFE
It's becoming a bit of a family joke now - don't stand still or mother will list you on EBay :-)
I have my wedding scroll under control - so I have the evening to list a bit. I have started going through all my old cross stitch charts - and the guys that run my website program have just created a gizmo that does the listing for you - so I am trialing that too. Princelet has given me 2 boxes of his old games to list as well so I have so much stuff piled around my space here I can hardly get to my chair
Enough with the chat - show the card - yeah - I hear you
Stamp and emboss on acetate - use it to cover the front of a card and any stamping on the card will show through!
The butterflies are hanging on twisted wires - and there are several bows
Had to make a box to put it in to protect the butterflies

STUDY DAY
I have been to class today, we were experimenting with acetate - going to show you this one.
You stamp on Acetate with Archival (you can use Staz-On - it's just that I don't). Then you turn it over and fill the images with PVA glue and different glitters. It is really effective - you know, I could do a 'how to' on it couldn't I? ((I wonder if you can get a staz-on pen? hummm - brain ticking))
We cut apertures through the card so you can really see the clear acetate and I have put a stripy piece of paper on the inner lining so you can still see the clearness, but there is a bit of colour as well.
Let me get the Daisy and Dandelion work transferred to my blog and then I will do this technique out properly for you.
I have a wedding scroll to work on - so there won't be much to see until it's been collected - well after the wedding really - just in case. So I will dig about and find other stuff to show you

Guys - I am totally gutted - Docraft has pulled the Daisy and Dandelion blog and on Face book too. No reason why just finish. I am just gutted.

I have finished the last of the dog cards for the dog shows - mind you, the old goat is so busy we may not be doing many shows.
Gosh - anyone else got a downer on my business today?

LIFE
I am totally pooped - I don't think I realised how much the Easter project took out of me.
I have spent the day 're-claiming' my office space from the tidal wave of debris from the project. I also am going slowly through my shelves and putting a few bit on EBay - some books, some un-used stuff and supplies that I haven't used for ages - this is my page list link
There is a load of princlet's games on there - just ignore those

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Phew - made it - delivered my art work just as the first people were arriving for the afternoon service today (just watch the cover guys - the silicone might be still a bit tacky!!). It has been a real personal journey for me - I know we all say that butt his has taken over the past 2 months, tacked into my FMS / life / goat's life / study time / change of seasons / world events / freedom of thinking - it has turned out very Personal.
Station 15 - Jesus is resurrected - happy and joyful, life renewed. Hay it's OK - we got through it all!!!!
kitten xx
Station 13 - Jesus's body is taken down from the cross - bit of 'caught between 2 worlds. Earth - flowers / cross - the death / the sky - the star that lead us all her in the first place
Station 14 - Jesus is left in the tomb - dark and gloom-ie this one - the grays just took me over. I started out with the keys (locking up VS releasing) - but meditation took over and what started out as life/death (locking in place - the keys) became really - just so sad really. The women took Jesus down from the cross, but they were not allowed to do the mourning ritual because (as Jews) Saturday - NO WORK - so they just had to leave him. Can you imagine - in the funeral service - someone says

- OK - that's fine - every one stop - we will do the rest in TWO days time.
Can you really live your life with that?
Oh - enough - jabber

You know Easter is a very funny time of the year for me - it is the same every year, but this year has been more difficult because I have not been able to go to service for a while. I was not brought up going to communion - so I thought it would not really matter if I was 'receiving' or not. You know what - I miss it!!!
I have been just so pleased with the work I have produced - and I have learnt TONS while doing it - and that's what it's all about

CATCH UP
Remind me - what day it is now??
I have been madly trying to finish my Easter project for church. One left to do in the morning and it should be on the alter by lunch time.
I love the shaded ink backgrounds you get with the Distress pads and a felt tool
In fact I love them so much I have out grown my storage box so I have had to add an extra column.
I have just re-homed it - I wanted it right in front of me so I could see what I had and just grab the pads I wanted.

It is just lucky that it fits between my shelves
Mind you I don't know what's going to happen when I out grow it again - it pretty packed in now
