FMS / NEW IDEA
Ashtondale (http://www.ashtondale.co.uk/) sent me a bag of left-overs when they were having a clear out - I love there big bag bargains. There were several card blanks that were a lovely soft, silky feel - but the oddest size (shorter that a tall thin, but wider) - anyway I cut them in half - like you do - and made then roughly A7 size. Hay, twice as many for half the cost - I had to make the envelopes anyway so it made little difference. The little cards are covered with a pink scrapbook paper and the detail on the front is part of a felt ribbon that Papermania released last year (might even be longer) - I airbrushed it with a rich brown COPIC ink.
I know - just how amazing is that
I added a few rub-ons just for a bit of detail. Do rub-ons go off? Does anyone know? There were Basic Gray so they were good ones, and nothing from the top sheet would stick down, but the pages towards the back were ok. Don't know much about rub-ons - now I know why I don't bother!!!
I made the hinged box for them to the size I wanted from strong pink card stock, and used the same paper for the lid.
I have a few more experiments to sort it out, but I am going in the right direction nowwww.princesskitten.co.uk

COPIC
What I wanted to show you was this -
I have been colouring (copics) my big Santa stamp (what better way to spend a horrid rainy day?). I wanted to show you the difference a bit of white can make. The first one has the greenery and the red berries coloured - but the second one has tiny little white pen highlights added to the red balls. It just zings it all into life.
Copics are doing me so much good. It's well in my study zone, being inks and all - I have been colouring with inks for years: but there is so much to learn if you want to take it higher - and I just loose myself in it - the time vanishes. Do you think I could get the NHS to give me them as 'occupational therapy'???? - oh well, just better get some for myself then.

He came home in a foul mood too - and that's my fault as well

NEW CARD
You are going to get so fed up of me and my Copics!!!
I did this image a while ago in denims and reds - but I had these really yummie pink themed papers (always choose your papers first - then match your Copic colours to them).
It's amazing just how different you can make the images look with a change of colour. Yeah - I know you have always been able to do them in different colour schemes - but some how it stands out more with Copics

COPIC
I am reasonably pleased with the results - the hooves need more work (really messy) - don't like the ground - very, very pleased with the air brush sky (thank it's at least 6 colours - that's the beauty of air brushing - and see my stenciled snowflakes) - quite pleased with my blending and the highlighting really works - and he has the most wonderful big red shiny nose (big dollop of Anita's 3D Glaze)

NEW CARD
I picked this stamp set up ages ago - when the See Dee's stamp sets were being sold off cheaply - with the exact idea to do this sort of get well card.
- background paper green is Papermania secret garden (I love this set and have actually nearly used it all up)
- background brown is from a new place I have found
It is BoBunny 'U Bug Me'. Just discovering BoBunny papers and I really love them - super quality - great modern designs - fantastic colours - and a very good price - even at the top end of the range. Some of the 12" scrapbook papers are now well over the £1 mark - and that's crazy! I don't mind if it's something out of the ordinary - but most of them are just double sided papers and not very heavy weight at that. The BoBunny I bought are heavy enough to make books / albums with, and that's the kind of versatility I am looking for

SCRAP BOOK PAGES
really good for Halloween pages. The American style is always a double spread - which is a whole ne ball game - but it does really open up the whole landscape. The page are just so full of papers - and layers - and stuff going on
See my stitching and cute lill' spiders!
These are all papers from Daisy and Dandelion halloween collection - added black card and orange card
